# Brands

In this Getting Started tutorial, we will go through the basic steps of setting up your store and creating your first product to deliver to your bloggers. To get started, click on Create a store below

# Create a store

To register a store, you must go to EasyBloggers' mainstore and interact with one of the Store Management Terminals.

Visit <https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Printemps/60/34/28>

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FPneGsO8wP4ObfsF9ZHN0%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=671f53b9-cb63-4f10-a4c7-c050f214f026" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you don't have an EasyBloggers account, when clicking on the terminal, you receive a dialog prompting you to enter the name of your store.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FBeEoXEiV9tXEvz20KGWW%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=96ccdff6-aee3-402b-bf89-de0703376278" alt="" width="375"><figcaption><p>Choose Designer</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FzRrrb7WXVUmKIyp2GZp2%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=691f92b2-5bf6-48cb-8757-4215d94dd9c6" alt="" width="327"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

That's it! You will receive a package containing the necessary items to run your store.

# Open the brand package

After you've received your package, the first step is to have a land to rez and open the package.

Inside the package, there are various objects and terminals to get you started with the features of EasyBloggers and EasySubscribers:

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FB3VIT3wOQor0r58hCUqG%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0078e7f6-8c26-46c4-972a-d4aabc4d2a3a" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **EasyBloggers - Bloggers Search Access**: This is a terminal you can rez at your store or event. When a resident clicks on it, they are redirected to your bloggers' application form if it's active.
* **EasyBloggers - Dropbox**: Similar to the dropboxes you are probably using for your vendor system, the Dropbox is the container object that will contain your products and the notecards to send for the notifications.
* **EasySubscribers - Kiosk**: Your subscription includes an unique subscribers system. To learn more, visit [this page](/easysubscribers/getting-started).
* **Kynno - HUD Passwordless login: Click on this HUD, and you will receive a link to log in** to EasyBloggers.

# Prepare your dropbox

The dropboxes are what host your products, textures and notecards to use within the system.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FxV6T3aZb36my5ljTeFH6%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=7e34c501-f69b-47f1-abae-73eccb7de96c" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The default Dropbox already contains 4 notecards:

* **YOUR BRAND: Application approved**: Send to any bloggers you accept via their blogger application.
* **YOUR BRAND: Application rejected**: Send to any bloggers you reject via their blogger application.
* **YOUR BRAND: New mail posted**: Send to your team when you create a new Mail
* **YOUR BRAND: New product available**: Send to your team when you publish a new Product

{% hint style="warning" %}
We highly encourage you to change the name of the notecards to your actual brand name.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
The notecards are entirely customizable. EasyBloggers provides the template and the default notecards to help you get started but feel free to change their content.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
Are you short on space on your land or want another location to host your Dropboxes? EasyBloggers includes free access to the [Dropbox Storage Facility](/easybloggers/getting-started/brands/more-features/dropbox-storage-facility).
{% endhint %}

## Customization

The dropboxes are unique and offer a lot of customization. Click a dropbox, then click `🎨 Design` and change it to your liking.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FuCsexCUl5UgmJksPayD0%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=ce258e95-6915-42c1-9499-8fa6b1e92de9" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FScnNArmpakPklQknYyah%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=00cd8f61-05d4-4820-a2c3-d768ebe68fa6" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Create your first product

By now you should have your notecards ready, and it's time to prepare to create your first product on EasyBloggers.

The first step is to drop your products into the Dropbox. The dropbox will synchronize its content with the server, and it should be ready in a few seconds.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FhOhfXMi9JQ9BJaHtktgw%2FNov-23-2024%2000-02-36.gif?alt=media&amp;token=e0fe16f9-68f1-4a8c-a8cb-3d31bd29f84f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Now, use the `Kynno - HUD Passwordless login` from your package to login to EasyBloggers, and click on the `Products` item in the navigation bar on the left.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FfQpARxkBQNGn0NWjZgSG%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=248a4bbf-3973-4b46-b824-6a41d86ef7b5" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Let's click the button `Create your first product`, it should open a new window for creating your product.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FzdjBkRlsTkN1YYDrOhdr%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=8d43ed23-f831-43db-be16-aaa24d10284a" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Object to deliver

Select the object you dropped in your Dropbox in the previous step. When bloggers request it, this will be sent to them.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Do you have a demo for this product?

You can put a demo to deliver for your product, that way bloggers can request the demo to see if they are interested in blogging it.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Product name

By default, it takes the name of the object to deliver. However, sometimes the name may contain parasite text such as `(wear/add)` or `(box)`. The product name will be displayed in the interface.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Locations

Locations are a unique feature of EasyBloggers. You can think of them as dynamic landmarks: When bloggers blog about your product and take it, they will know exactly where it is available. When they blog about it on Primfeed, the credits section will show the locations of your products, giving potential customers the possibility to visit and buy the product.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Priority

Another unique feature of EasyBloggers is Priorities, which are a way to ensure bloggers blog your item in the order you would like. Priorities are optional, and you can use the Normal priority for every product. We will discuss the Priorities in more detail later.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Deadlines

Two types of Deadlines are available for you to use. However, you are likely only to use `Deadline once`.

* **Auto-deadline:** Request bloggers to blog about a certain product every X days. This is only useful for brands with a few items: mesh heads, bodies, cigarettes, etc.
* **Deadline once:** The deadline will be set only the first time a blogger requests a new product. **This is the deadline you want to use 98% of the time.**&#x20;
* **None:** Bloggers are free to take this item without a deadline.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Texture UUID

The UUID for your product image, `Right click on a texture` > `Copy Asset UUID`.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Optional blogging

This removes all requirements and constraints on this product (deadlines, priorities) and considers it a gift to your team.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Voilà!

Click the button at the bottom, and voilà, you have created your first product in EasyBloggers.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

# Notifications

Remember the 4 notecards you renamed in your dropbox? It's time to configure it and use it for your notifications.

Click on `Settings` at the top left of your page, then click `Notifications` under the `Store` category.

Then use the menu for each notification, and select the correct notecard for the corresponding notification.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FHsRYtDch4hYdAebHITTa%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=65d7b0b7-416f-4b6e-a121-0bf1036a292f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
Make sure to update these fields if you rename your notification at some point!
{% endhint %}

# Configure your settings

From the Settings page available at the top left of your page, you have a lot of settings available to configure.

This tutorial won't cover all of them, so feel free to explore them by yourself and carefully read the text associated with each setting.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F3a5sh1r9NyqlwqTMGDNn%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=fb832c0e-7dd5-43f1-9878-6704e5261ee9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Invite your bloggers

Included in your free plan, you can invite up to 3 members (bloggers or friends).

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Manually invite your bloggers" %}
From the `Members` page on the left, you can manually invite bloggers to join your team. If you don't have any members yet, click on the button at the center of the page. Otherwise, this button is at the top right.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FcA4goZjDvSV9opzoq4F5%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=e5b4de1e-fd0c-4f99-9ab7-cbfea63b92da" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Enter the name of your blogger, and two scenarios are possible:

* **They are not registered on EasyBloggers or Primfeed yet**
  * The system will send a Bloggers package and a system message in their local chat. In that package, they have the same HUD as yours for logging in to EasyBloggers. After logging in, on the left, they can click `Invitations` and they can see your invitation and accept or reject it.&#x20;
* **They have an account on EasyBloggers or Primfeed**
  * They will only receive a system message in their local chat. No package will be delivered.
  * If they don't have a package, you can click on their invitation and Deliver them a package manually, or they can visit EasyBloggers' [mainstore](http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Printemps/60/35/28) to get one.
    {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Search for bloggers in Explore" %}
The Explore section gives you access to a list of bloggers you can manually invite to your brand.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FKu4tU0sE7MGbX2eSM4kQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=3af47357-09cf-4d66-b6a6-be5620b95dc0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Click on one of the bloggers, and click `Invite to {your store}`. You can review the last 10 accepted posts they made on EasyBloggers and decide if they match the style you would like to see with your products.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FkV5KQ0PpPaDrBEfJGkWU%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=c7e943c8-a626-406e-b617-c4ca8cfca838" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Application form" %}
Reserved to **paid subscriptions** only, another way to add bloggers to your brand is from the applications you receive when your Bloggers Application form is opened.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2Fbc699pEXNgEVzZWYRwOt%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=ffb829fa-0d26-47fb-854e-ea80f119437b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Depending on your subscription, you can add up to 20 custom questions to your form, and mark them as required or not.

When opened, bloggers can apply to your brand by entering their names and answering your questions through the fields.&#x20;

You will receive a notification every time a blogger applies to your brand, and it's up to you to accept or reject their application from the `Bloggers App` menu on the left.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

# Review the posts

Once your bloggers are invited and part of your brand, they will start requesting your products and working with them.

When they request a product, the system will automatically create a `In progress` post with the associated deadline if the product has any.

Once they have filled the `In progress` post, the new status `Waiting for review` will show, and it's your time to review it.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FCMRDy7rvUvCw91XOEpeO%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=8e74d129-59a9-45c9-b3f0-d2099062adaa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Open the `Waiting for review` post, click the link to see the post, leave an optional comment and mark it as rejected or accepted. The blogger will receive a notification.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FD11Cq9QbbquC7YreIG7Q%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=bdef6296-4a99-4c4a-b65c-3714a4fbbaa0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you reject the post, a new `In progress` post is automatically created by the system.
{% endhint %}

# You know the basics

This tutorial is now finished, and you should have the basics to manage your team within EasyBloggers.

{% hint style="success" %}

EasyBloggers and Primfeed couldn't exist without your support. If you decide to use one of these products, thank you, and I hope you will enjoy it.

If you have any questions or need help with anything during the setup or use of EasyBloggers / Primfeed, please feel always free to contact Luke Rowley in-world, and I will be happy to assist you.

# Tips

Various tips that wouldn't fit into the other category of this getting started.

## Click around and read the description of options, etc.

* The documentation covers the most important parts of the interface and configuration, but EasyBloggers evolves a lot with updates, and sometimes, the screenshots might be outdated.
  * Take the time to click around and discover what's available and what's new after an update.

## Dropbox

* You can use as many Dropboxes as you want. They operate as a cloud. I highly suggest you rez one copy of your Dropbox from another location to ensure delivery is always possible in case the original region is unavailable.
* A blue LED will be displayed in front of Dropbox. To get the latest features, always check occasionally if an update is available.
* EasyBloggers provides a free location to rez your dropbox, contact Luke Rowley in-world to learn more.

## Subscription

* Are you looking to upgrade your subscription to a higher plan or add an add-on to your current package? Visit `Settings` > `Subscription` and click `Upgrade your subscription or purchase add-ons`.
* If your subscription expires, your brand will return to the free package.
  * **Your data will NEVER be deleted.**

# More features

# Posts

Posts are a collection of links, linked to a particular product. If needed, a blogger can request an extension of the deadline.

Posts are primarily created by bloggers, often including multiple links at once, typically redirecting to platforms like Primfeed or Facebook.

Initially, posts are set to a `In Progress` status and will remain so until the blogger completes the post. This keeps the process transparent and allows for seamless progress tracking.

{% hint style="info" %}
If a product has an associated deadline and a blogger fails to complete the corresponding post before its deadline, the post's status will change to `Missed Deadline.`

Following this, the blogger won't be able to request a new item from the store until the situation is resolved.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
For performance reasons, on your default posts view, we are applying default filters

\
B**rands**

* Accepted posts older than 1 month won't show.

Please note that when you apply a filter to your view, this date filter will not be applied.
{% endhint %}

## Review the post

When a blogger has filled a post, an in-world notification will alert you. This allows you to review the URLs, provide feedback, and add comments as needed, maintaining communication and promoting a constructive working environment.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FH4eZ5APjKrwLgUrZYGSi%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0a5c6314-682a-4ea1-b9b4-ad8cb303da82" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Remove deadline

Creators and managers can remove the deadline for a particular post, open the post, and click `Remove the deadline`.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2Fy41QCIf0pTZFKMa1rnTy%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b80229ca-e4f0-41fe-8657-93717c56be89" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Members

Manage your team of Bloggers and Friends, and send invitations to anyone to join your store, and review a blogger's progress with your products.

EasyBloggers equips you with the tools to manage your team of Bloggers and Friends and send invitations to new members. It streamlines the process, eliminating the need for Bloggers to fill out forms and allowing you to personally invite specific talents based on their work.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FJLi08XtIVuX3GDUl7oQp%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=d8d7813a-e8bb-4b0b-8fe3-5db655814b73" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

On the Members page, while hovering the progress bar of a particular blogger, you are able to see the progress the blogger made with your products.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FHlUA5zjWkAZauHB3FvWR%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=d3668ecf-2343-4fb6-8d46-86894495ea01" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Invite a blogger

If the user does not exist in the system, it will automatically create an account and send the Blogger Package directly so they can connect and accept your invitation. **Make sure the user receiving this invitation is expecting the package.**

This feature is automatically **available to all paid** Subscriptions (Free + Paid Add-ons, Starter, pro, and Ultra). However, if you are on a Free plan and want to invite someone, please contact Luke Rowley, and I will enable the feature for your store.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FClhblQpyePpgwyvEuKkW%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=16c37e57-5873-4680-b0a7-38a75431a278" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Cancel an invitation

To cancel an invitation to a blogger, click on the member card, then click Cancel, and confirm the cancellation by clicking “Cancel the invitation”

# Mailbox

The Mailbox is an in-store internal communication system designed for your brand to relay updates to your team members.

## Create and edit a mail

EasyBloggers uses Markdown syntax to add depth and a degree of customization to your messages.

If you prefer simplicity, you can stick to plain text with new lines, but if you're feeling creative, let's explore the advanced editor:

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FVrVt3Rs0dH4FEgUlOzBQ%2FJun-09-2023%2000-36-24.gif?alt=media&amp;token=773d61a0-d282-40c8-ab49-5094a81e71c5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You'll find your raw text on the editor's left side. This is where the body of your mail and raw Markdown syntax live.

You'll see a rendered version of your text and Markdown syntax on the right. From a Blogger's perspective, this is how it'll appear:

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FYw4hc86t8337z3KnutdQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=e0851818-ae10-43a5-adb2-ab30498b66a8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Important Mail

Mail marked as important will always appear at the top of the list. It will be highlighted with a yellow star and background.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FC2bThETjQfWn9n0J8jkL%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=2fb785c0-c602-4426-9d25-760ea8619714" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Any important emails will be rollback to normal after 7 days of its creation.
{% endhint %}

# Settings

# Audit Log

Each brand owner has access to their store audit log, which contains key actions performed by themselves, the managers, bloggers, or friends inside the brand.

This includes all actions done on:

* Bloggers
* Applications
* Invitations
* Products
* Mailbox
* Managers
* Friends
* Settings
* Product Categories

# Co-owners

With co-owners, you can share the content of your Dropboxes with a specific store. This is super useful if your store often collaborates or if you have multiple avatars working for the same brand.

To add your first co-owner, visit your store's Settings, go to General, and click Add a co-owner.

Once it's done, your co-owner will be able to assign a Dropbox to your store, which can be used to deliver the products, demos, or notecards for your notifications.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Please note that **only one brand** is allowed under an active subscription.
{% endhint %}

# Preferences

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F3TEjpGpW1Z69UTXOG3cR%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=3b4c5559-ff4c-48a7-83f2-693b6b4d2170" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## **Products limitation**

This setting protects the creators. EasyBloggers is aware that malicious bloggers can exist, and the Product limitations setting can help prevent them.

It restricts the quantity of products a blogger can acquire at one time. For instance, if the limit is 3, the blogger can request 3 products simultaneously. If they want to take a fourth product, they must have an accepted post for one of the 3 products they took first.

It's important to note that posts categorized as In Progress or Waiting For Review are not considered completed.

{% hint style="info" %}
Friends are not affected by this setting. They have no limit to how many products they can request at once.
{% endhint %}

### Timeout priority **- Stores**

Priority is a way to make sure that bloggers always blog about certain products first. It restricts their ability to request delivery for normal priority products if there are higher priority products for which they didn't have an accepted post.

When setting priority on your products, usually, it's only temporary. Creators often first release their products at events for a fixed amount of time (1 month), and then the creations are available at the main store.

To prevent brands from always returning to each product and changing the priority manually, EasyBloggers includes a Timeout priority setting. This setting will reset the priority of each “timed out” product to Normal. The choices are between Never and **1 year**.

### Minimum post per month

Stores can set a requirement for each blogger to make sure they are active. While this is optional, EasyBloggers encourages you to set at least 1 post per month.

When you set a minimum count of posts per month on your Members page, you can quickly see if a blogger is following the requirement with the status at the bottom of their card.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F88yFkbsrinapAUJWz6zQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b09b6fe4-529d-4827-8c47-4705ddf6d002" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Product Categories

Organize your products and bloggers into distinct categories, it's a great help if your store has diverse product lines (e.g., male/female products, accessories).

### Create a category

Store owners, co-owners and managers can create product categories:

1. With your store selected, click on **Settings** → **Product Categories**
2. Click **Edit** to enter edit mode
3. Click **Add a category** button
4. Enter a category name (e.g., "Male", "Female", "Accessories")
5. Click **Create**

### Assigning Categories to Products

**Individual Product Assignment:**

1. Navigate to **Products**
2. Create a new product or edit an existing one
3. In the product form, select one or more categories
4. Save the product

**Batch Category Assignment:**

1. Navigate to **Products**
2. Select multiple products using checkboxes
3. Click **Assign Categories to Batch** button
4. Select the categories to assign
5. Confirm the assignment

{% hint style="info" %}
If you don't see any category to assign to your products, make sure you created one in the settings before.
{% endhint %}

### Assigning categories to bloggers

There are three ways to assign categories to bloggers:

#### **A. During Application Process:** When bloggers apply to join your store:

* If your store has product categories, bloggers applying will see a category selection step
* Bloggers can select which categories they want to blog for
* If you have only 1 category, it's automatically assigned
* If you have 2+ categories, applicants must select at least one

#### **B. Individual Blogger Assignment:**

1. Navigate to **Members**
2. Click on the "+ Categories" button
3. Select/deselect categories in the dialog
4. Save changes

#### **C. Batch Blogger Assignment:**

1. Navigate to **Members**
2. Click **Assign bloggers to category** button (top right)
3. Select the bloggers you want to assign
4. Select the category
5. Confirm the assignment

{% hint style="info" %}
Using the batch blogger assignment will replace all categories assigned to the selected bloggers.
{% endhint %}

### How Bloggers See Products

Once categories are assigned:

* **Bloggers with assigned categories**: Can only see and request products that:
  * Have at least one category in common with their assigned categories, OR
  * Have no categories assigned (uncategorized products are visible to all)
* **Example Scenario**:
  * Store has categories: "Male" and "Female"
  * Blogger A is assigned to "Male" category
  * Blogger B is assigned to "Female" category
  * Product 1 is tagged with "Male" → Only Blogger A can see it
  * Product 2 is tagged with "Female" → Only Blogger B can see it
  * Product 3 is tagged with both "Male" and "Female" → Both bloggers can see it
  * Product 4 has no categories → Both bloggers can see it

# Dropboxes

The dropboxes are what host your products, textures and notecards to use within the system. For brand owners with multiple stores, you can assign Dropbox individual Store.

Go to your Dropboxes pages, select a Dropbox, and in the modal, click on the Stores you want to assign the Dropbox to. If you are a co-owner of another store, you can make the content of your Dropbox available to that store.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FZzmUH5TTOdlNtwRkUcm8%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=c759dfbc-f1eb-4ad9-96c4-933d0f322a28" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Do you need a place to rez your dropboxes?

Visit the [Dropbox Storage Facility](/easybloggers/getting-started/brands/more-features/dropbox-storage-facility).

## Debit permission

If you activated your subscription's auto-renewal, a small green dollar sign will appear next to your Dropbox.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F35D7VdnDTs5a9AjVY26F%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9ef16b29-ebe2-4e52-8122-48db9fb7632c" alt="" width="363"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Dropbox Storage Facility

Move your dropboxes from your personal place or skybox to their new place, the EasyBloggers Dropbox Storage Facility, which is included in every EasyBloggers' plan.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F1fty2NNMOHcHUVQWmVHA%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9c74e263-0aa2-4567-96c8-a86d42d4dbaa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

One of the perks of using EasyBloggers is access to the Dropbox Storage Facility.

The EasyBloggers Dropbox Storage Facility is a place where every designer can come and rez their Dropbox to store their products for use on EasyBloggers. It’s free and included in your plan.

Note that if you need more space, you can always rent additional tables on the left of the facility. The number of dropboxes you are allowed to rez depends on the plan you are using for your store. See more at <https://www.kynno.app/easybloggers/pricing>.

To require access, contact Luke Rowley in-world, and I will send the group as soon as possible.

# Bloggers

As bloggers in EasyBloggers, you can request the delivery of products from the brands you are part of.

EasyBloggers helps you to manage and review the progress of your tasks to never forget about blogging a product.

To get started, you must first join a brand. Click `Join a brand` below.

# Join a brand

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Fill a blogger application" %}

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FE1WcYxWOkK8GMZlL0wKb%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b0372624-0cc0-4de5-964e-32e37546793b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

When brands are looking for bloggers, they usually open their bloggers' application and share the link to the form on their social media. In that case, you only need to fill out their form and wait for their answer.&#x20;

If it's positive, the system will send you an in-world notification (and optionally a notecard, depending on the brand's setting).&#x20;

If you're new to EasyBloggers, you will receive a package from the system which contains a HUD to use to login to your account. Use it, and you're ready to go!
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Get invited" %}

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F69j6HsqtRMhbfbjQ07RZ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=1359c97a-1d10-4d74-9a78-62a35b4c4441" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Brands can directly invite you from their interface. In that case, you will receive an in-world notification from the system.

Once you're logged in, on the left, click `Invitations` to review the invitations you've received from brands, and it's up to you to accept or reject them. Click on the three dots on the right and make your choice.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

# Request a product

Once you are part of a brand, you have access to their products from the left navigation bar.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F42gwBxZOxtJkK7EaMWcm%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=6cb7cae1-8413-45fd-a46b-c60c5bd0ac88" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can review a product's details by clicking on it. This includes the product locations, priority, and deadline.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Read carefully the terms for the deadline.
{% endhint %}

Brands can use the priority system to ensure you take their latest releases.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FEicxhs4WXyPKSZpCjp01%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=e9a670a0-cf40-4496-ab73-723287c9627e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Click `Deliver the product`, and a new `In progress` post is automatically created.

# Review and fill your posts

When you request a new product, the system will automatically create a In progress post with the product and the deadline associated with it.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FtsE239TBhoengY9QEReq%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=259bf2de-d2bc-4691-a2a5-863dfee84978" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Brands use deadlines to ensure that posts are completed in a timely manner. You will receive one notecard for 1, 2, 3, and 5 days. But don't worry, you won't get spammed by the notecards: If you have, let's say, 3 posts with 1 day left, you will only receive 1 notecard.

However, for every post that goes into the status `MissedDeadline`. You will receive 1 notecard per post, regardless of whether you received one today.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FixA75I9cE7aJQMkL1UsB%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=39bd7e94-2501-4985-b142-aab659bb7df3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
For performance reasons, on your default posts view, we are applying default filters.

* Accepted posts older than 2 months won't show.

Please note that when you apply a filter to your view, this date filter will not be applied.
{% endhint %}

## Request an extension of the deadline

We understand that life can happen, and missing a deadline can be particularly frustrating due to some unexpected real-life events. Bloggers can request a deadline extension directly from the post.

The store will then have the discretion to approve or decline this request.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F6wpMdcJV3NnFg7VhWqtF%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=4484acb0-5fbd-49d9-ac5d-44de85ac84ab" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you need to tell your sponsors that you're going away or taking a few days of holiday and need to extend all your deadlines, you can [change your status](/easybloggers/user-status-for-your-time-away-and-holidays), which will extend all your current deadlines.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

# Events

Replace your bloggers' room with EasyBloggers for Events, the best way to manage your team of designers, managers, and bloggers.

Using EasyBloggers for Events allows you to upgrade your event and save a lot of time managing it.

Almost all the steps from the [Getting Started](/easybloggers/getting-started/brands) for Brands are identical to Events. However, there are a few extra differences for your needs.

### EasyBloggers for Events features

* `Bloggers Application Form`: Make your own form for bloggers to fill, and forget about Google Form. You can add up to 20 custom questions and accept or reject applications right from your app.
* `Designers Application Form`: Same functionality as the Bloggers Application Form, but this time it's for designers. Designers need to connect to their EasyBloggers account to use the form, which makes sure no one can pretend to be them.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FTv5uvmQ5ZogijgjVIT4J%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=ef04840e-ad25-4b8b-b2b7-b72222ae907c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### How does it work for designers?

To use EasyBloggers for Events, designers must have a store on EasyBloggers. They can do so by following the [Getting Started](/easybloggers/getting-started/brands) tutorial, which takes 5-10 minutes to set up.

Once they have their store setup, they can fill your `Designers Application Form`. Accept them into your event, and it will unlock a new field in their product creation, `Event`. Selecting your event and saving the change will allow your bloggers to take this product.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FfmqOC6YLrk60ogpnB5Cq%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=d7da3608-9388-4f4a-9aa9-0d6899c67139" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Notes

* The event subscription is per event and contains unlimited designers and bloggers. See more details on the pricing at <https://www.kynno.app/easybloggers/pricing>
* The event owner and managers are the only ones who can manage a post made by the event's bloggers' team.
* When the product is linked to an event, the prioritization, deadlines, and optional blogging are ignored by the bloggers from the event.
* The stores with free subscriptions can access and apply to your event; however, they have the same limited features as any store with a free subscription.
* Events have an option to prevent designers to assign products to their event.
* The event has access to two more notifications: `Designer Application Accepted` and `Designer Application Rejected`, they are accessible from the `Settings` > `Event` > `Notifications`.
* After each round, you can click a button to remove all products from your event.

### I'm an event, and I'm interested!

I'm happy to hear that! Currently, EasyBloggers for Events cannot be purchased by yourself. Please get in touch with Luke Rowley in-world, and I will be happy to assist you during the setup of your event.

# Getting Started

EasySupport is an in-world customer support solution to help Second Life brands manage their customer support via a dedicated avatar.

Integrated with [SmartBots](http://www.mysmartbots.com/?by=6569290), EasySupport connect to one of your in-world bot to simplify the management of your customer support requests.

It's totally transparent for your customers: They message an avatar in-world with IMs or notecards, and you or one of your CSRs can answer their request via the web interface, without having to be online in-world.

The benefit is that the management of your support is centralised on one always online avatar. The messages don't get capped, and they can be assigned to one member of your team with the addition of labels when needed to help you organize.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FCuE9x5Bc3GyvWdMpQo0p%2FCleanShot%202026-03-26%20at%2013.21.12%402x.png?alt=media&amp;token=2668f8f8-eb9f-4060-b252-7551793c202f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Getting Started

Say hello to your next subscribers system, EasySubscribers, the easiest web-based subscribers system on the grid.

EasySubscribers is the second web-based product from Kynno, the brand dedicated to help designers or events on the grid to grow their brands through clean and easy to use web products.

It allows you to gather a list of subscribers in three ways:

* Using an import system from your old system. Export your current list of subscribers into a `.csv` file and import it directly in EasySubscribers.
* Manually add an avatar.
* Avatars can click on the kiosk at your mainstore or public location to subscribe.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F4FWMKO8QonllFDCOjIrQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=3b876c41-f9b3-4bfe-a570-9f89d9f2f1e9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Subscribers

Subscribers are the people interested to your newsletters.

There are three ways to get subscribers for your brand:

* Using an import system from your old system. Export your current list of subscribers into a `.csv` file and import it directly in EasySubscribers.
* Manually add an avatar.
* Avatars can click on the kiosk at your mainstore or public location to subscribe.

{% hint style="danger" %}
It's important to note that you can only include subscribers who have willingly **OPTED IN** to receive messages from you.

For instance, individuals who have purchased items or those on a visitor list without explicit opt-in **DO NOT MEET** the criteria.

Spamming is against the ToS of Second Life, and your access to EasySubscribers could be **terminated** if there is any abuse.
{% endhint %}

## Add a subscriber

From your interface, you can click on the button Add a subscriber and a modal will appear. From there, depending on what you want to do, you can either manually enter an avatar name or import a .csv file.

If you manually enter a name, the avatar will be checked, and corrected if necessary. (Incorrect letter cases, for example)

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FCtYS0aIIPUzd9bCfewmU%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=51c1906e-4664-4460-bac7-11f4a8d142b5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you decide to import a file, your .csv file MUST follow the following format:

* The format of the line must be: `name,uuid`
* name and uuid must be separate by a the character `,`
* One avatar per line
* No header<br>

If you have an issue with the import of your file, or if you are not sure, please contact me, `Luke Rowley` and I will be happy to assist you.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
If you try to import a file containing more subscribers than your current subscription allows, the system will only import the number of subscribers you are allowing to have.
{% endhint %}

## Unsubscribe someone as the owner

Click the red cross next to the subscriber name, and confirm.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FcvjLJn3q1pVkaYjGPLeG%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=568d62d0-8b47-4f1f-8510-f981febacf5e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Unsubscribe from a brand

Sometimes you are just not interested anymore in a brand you previously subscribed to, and that's fine. To make it easy for everyone, EasySubscribers have two ways to unsubscribe from a brand:

* You can visit their mainstore or public location, and click on the EasySubscribers Kiosk.
* **Unique, and exclusive to EasySubscribers**: Included in each newsletter, you have a public link that you can click to unsubscribe, you won't have to manually unsubscribe someone who does not want to be part of your subscribers list anymore.

If you click on the link to unsubscribe from the message of a newsletter, you will see this **completely** optional form to give a reason to the brand of why you decided to unsubscribed.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FviYaeCHk2PmBzkvx9Ae5%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f18a7b53-e53d-4c59-9422-da0d48ed1f84" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Kiosk

Each brand in their package receives a kiosk they can rez where they want. It also includes the full perm texture if you want to personalize it.

{% hint style="info" %}
To enable the kiosk, you have to click on it, and select the store you want it to be assigned to.
{% endhint %}

The newsletters are what contain the big news you want to share with your subscribers. Start to create and edit your first one, then publish it using one of your dropbox.

## Create a newsletter

Each newsletter must contain a title and a message. The message is limited to 700 characters, and the title is just here for you, to see it on your listing.

While it's not necessary to create it, you can assign a Dropbox (minimum v1.3) to dispatch this newsletter. When selecting a dropbox, a second dropdown will appear, displaying the content of this dropbox.&#x20;

It's optional, but you can include a notecard along with your message.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can include `{name}` in your message, and it will use the firstname of the avatar.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
The dropboxes are the same as the one you are using for EasyBloggers. Easy!&#x20;
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FwkbSVieIY0kirUaAlLOR%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f420dc25-2cf3-4a66-a259-d0f6d80cb9a8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Publish a newsletter

On the listing of your newsletters, you can publish paused and draft newsletters as long as they have a dropbox assigned.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2FLMvWIB2xOkvGVrbKs1Vh%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=1994b29f-2d0a-40f4-8a62-985a8026f6b0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Each newsletter contains a personalized link to easily unsubscribe for the subscriber. Clicking on this link, they can fill a reason of why they unsubscribe, which is displayed on their name in your subscribers list.
{% endhint %}

## Pause a newsletter

Mistakes happen, and you might want to edit your newsletter you just published. Each in progress newsletter can be paused during their publishing, and then edited.

<figure><img src="https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2Fuploads%2F32VlEf7Hdb030UItmAJj%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9ad55d3d-2147-4807-8d19-45ba649abe51" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Advanced Online Board

Display the online status of anyone.

This is a resizeable and modifiable mesh online status indicator board. It includes some cool features:

* You can assign any user to it. Click on it, `Settings` -> `Set User` and then, you can enter UUID or their Second Life name. (Yes, their Second Life name, **NOT** their Display name.)&#x20;
* You can allow users to register to the board for being notify when the user assigned to the board come online. (A limit of 100 different users at once is set.)
* Users can request a notecard from the board. (You need to set `Allow Notecard` in the board's settings and drop a notecard in the board. The script will send the first notecard in the board.)
* You are able to use your own object. However, the "Online" and "Offline texture won't appear and the Online Texture feature is disabled as well. (You can still display your status using the `FloatingT` option in the settings.)
* You can enable the `Auto Pic` option to let the script use the user's profile picture. If you want to set a custom picture, please deactivate the option in the Settings.

{% hint style="info" %}
You are able to transfer your settings between boards.

Simply copy and paste the description between boards. If your board contains only 1 prim, use the description of the **root prim**. If you board contains more than 1 prim, please use the description of the link prim **2**.
{% endhint %}

# EasyTextures

Easily customise your creations!

EasyTextures is a tool allowing you to customize your creations. Thanks to a HUD, your customers will be able to retexture your creation as you wish.

It comes with 4 scripts, one script for the object, one for the HUD and two `.config` scripts. It's developed for any kind of objects, such as prim, sculpt, mesh clothes etc.

We’ve tried to make this product as easy to use as possible, but you will need some basic knowledge of object creation.

A demo is also available [here](https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Kynno-EasyTextures-DEMO/20198688), it contains all the features of this full version. You are just not allowed to release any product or transfer the script to another avatar.&#x20;

### Features

* It is fast, really fast. No matter how many instructions you have to apply.
* Materials are enabled. You can configure them as you want, per prims and/or faces.
* With one button, you can change multiple prims and/or faces
* Allow prims to be retextured creating your own HUD
* Allows multi-attachments to be textured at the same time
* Gives objects, opens URLs, opens SLURL, sends group link in local chat, faces rotation (HUD)
* No link required, you can put this script inside a single prim
* Full support for Meshes and Sculpts

To buy it, visit <https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Kynno-EasyTextures/8093058> or visit our [mainstore](https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Printemps/252/191/28)

# Requirements

{% hint style="warning" %}
**You must be the creator of the HUD and the object**.

If you are using a full perm set, just create a prim with your name and link it as root prim
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
A basic knowledge of object creation is required.
{% endhint %}

To navigate through this tutorial, use the left panel or click on the bottom of the page, on **Next.**

We recommend that you take the time to read everything thoroughly and go steady.

# First steps

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Remember:** All scripts **MUST** be **no modify** and **no transfer/copy** or **no copy/transfer**
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Remember:** You **MUST** read your local chat. This is how the script will tell you there is an issue with your configuration or not.
{% endhint %}

* Definitions → This part is important, if it's not already done, keep an eye on it while you're configuring your creation.
* Creating an object → Will contain the information to create your HUD, step by step with everything you need to know. From easy to complex HUDs.

# Definitions

### Instructions

An instruction is a set of information defined by one line. It's split by a **;** character, it allows the script to properly read the data. This kind of line will define how you creation will retexture. In the below example, this line will retexture the prim named **button**, with the texture **cc72eb07-b8cb-be03-8635-1ad5d9afa5fd** on the faces **1** and **2**.

```
button;texture;1,2;4f089cf2-3e75-fa5f-d5f3-2d49fe92553d
```

### Texture set

A texture set is a block of code in the .config script. It contains at least one name and one or multiples instructions. In the below example, this texture set is called `redSet` and contains 1 instruction.

```
-redSet
button;texture;1,2;4f089cf2-3e75-fa5f-d5f3-2d49fe92553d
```

## All instructions

// they are able to retexture it. It has a timeout of 60 seconds.

touchtoapply

// You can also add this line if you are making one HUD for multiple object.
// It will ignore the messages like
// ERROR: There is no prim named `something` in your object.

ignore_not_existing_prim
```
# Content of the box
# Object
Now that we know the content, we are able to put the right content into the right place. We will begin with the Object. From your inventory, put the `.config` script in your object. Once it's done, double-click on it to open the script.
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEs7V4Z4JjzWr72n58b%2F-MEsCtEno2Av6rdIgdrb%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=e07b57a8-4f25-4c89-94ca-165a38fa7dd1)
On the left (Surrounded by blue lines), these are the lines of the script. I will use those number during the tutorial so you have a good idea of where you need to write your stuff.
Line 10, it will be the name used by the scripts to talk to each other. That way, your specific textures to this object won't be applied on another one of your object using EasyTextures.
{% hint style="warning" %}
Line 12, **you need to replace my UUID with your avatar UUID,** it's a security feature. Be sure to have the quote remaining.
{% endhint %}
Line 16 to 25 are blank. It's normal, this is where you will enter your configuration. In the .config, you have only one option available at this time and it's `touchtoapply.` This option will allow your customers to click on the object before it can be retextured. If you need it, write `touchtoapply` within these lines, otherwise, we're done with the .config script. Save the script by clicking the button on the bottom right.&#x20;
Now, put the `Kynno - EasyTextures v3.0` script in your object. You might see this message&#x20;
```
⚠️ EasyTextures: The script should be no-transfer for the next owner. Please fix the permission or you won't be able to use it.
```
In this case, right click on the script and untick "Transfer" permission.&#x20;
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEs7V4Z4JjzWr72n58b%2F-MEsFaCx_hJ4Tm-zz8To%2F4Te1rJ2%5B1%5D.gif?alt=media\&token=8913f7d8-6458-43c7-814a-30bb3ca5b7a7)
You should now see this message&#x20;
```
[10:17:41] Astre - Damaged Cube White: Initializing EasyTextures...
[10:17:41] Astre - Damaged Cube White: ⚠️ EasyTextures: Name detected: myObject
[10:17:41] Astre - Damaged Cube White: Free memory: 34652
```
Great! We can now create our HUD.
# HUD
Your HUD will need to contain some information. I created a very basic HUD with 6 buttons that will apply a texture set.&#x20;
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEsGxF-RJi2vmkyp3Dp%2F-MEsIYYGgDoxnErDNZg9%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=2d6b87f1-d209-4f02-ad15-3459aded7755)
The black prim is the root prim of my HUD, it don't need to have a special name or description. The 6 blue button needs to be named `apply` this way, the HUD know he will needs to apply a texture set when your customers will click on one of the buttons. For now, leave their description empty.
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEsGxF-RJi2vmkyp3Dp%2F-MEsJY9ObDQkmyhpHFhV%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=0cceaf3d-f572-4be8-a9d6-68f273473c21)
After you're done with this, untick `Edit linked` to select your complete HUD and then, put the `.config HUD` script into your HUD. Open the script by double clicking on it.
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEsNlPX3MhRfwKtl647%2F-MEsmiS2jDCLZuViDtLT%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=44b8f221-f6cc-4c67-9f6c-83491fd5038c)
If you are not familiar with what you see, please go read the [Definitions](/products/easytextures/first-steps/definitions), it's important.
Included out of the box, this .config HUD contains some basic instructions for you to start with. You can erase the data from line 20 to 39 included as we will create our own instructions.
Same as the object, edit the line 10 with your `objectName` you put earlier in your object and line 12, put your own key.&#x20;
Line 13 is your secureKey. It is unique to your avatar and it is used to add more security to the system by encrypting your UUIDs. You can get your key by wearing the `Kynno - User Secure Key (wear/add)` and click on it.
Now, let's create our own instructions. On my cube, I only want to change one texture on one face, it's a pretty basic example. (More complex examples will be able in [Examples](/products/easytextures/examples))
First of all, we need to create a new texture set in our .config HUD, to do that, simply enter the name of your texture set with a - before it.
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEsGxF-RJi2vmkyp3Dp%2F-MEsN6ziyEzitSnOZZBW%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=c5fbf042-ed47-4f63-ac3e-856f0bf9b4c9)
Then, I want my prim named `Astre - Damaged Cube` to be retexture on all faces and I can do that by adding a texture instruction.
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEsNJR5IQcjQejek8Yr%2F-MEsNUKFnGNk4UuM_uqb%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=2ffa8eaf-7103-4363-8fab-e24c8676f987)
Done! Before any save, I also want to add another set for another color, let's say black. I will repeat the same process that I did for the orange one.
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEsNJR5IQcjQejek8Yr%2F-MEsNgC_vcRpZRGNq-6y%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=29b1945f-4d95-44d8-8463-95456ba1312f)
We have now two texture sets and we will be able to use our HUD soon! Save your `.config HUD`
Now, put the script `Kynno - EasyTextures HUD v3.0` into your HUD and read your local chat.
```
// You should see something similar.

[12:49:27] Object: Initializing HUD EasyTextures...
[12:49:28] Object: ⚠️ EasyTextures: Processing orange...
[12:49:28] Object: ⚠️ EasyTextures: Processing black...
[12:49:28] Object: ⚠️ EasyTextures: Object name detected: myObject
[12:49:28] Object: ⚠️ EasyTextures: Process complete ! We found a total of 2 textures pack(s) in your script. You can now delete the script if you are done with your configuration.
[12:49:28] Object: Memory free: 40740
```
Last step, we need to update our HUD. Select one of the `apply` button and in its description, enter the name of one of the color set, for example, orange. Then, on another button, enter the second texture set, black.&#x20;
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEsNlPX3MhRfwKtl647%2F-MEspOXzSgzEBV8WaiI8%2FAtynEVb%5B1%5D.gif?alt=media\&token=3d2428c2-2d63-42b1-acc8-10b85d96520f)
Once you did that, you should be able to use your HUD. Click on any of the button and tadam, your object is retextured!
![](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MEsNlPX3MhRfwKtl647%2F-MEspr4gAzPfMtMCrIm0%2F9TKlG4G%5B1%5D.gif?alt=media\&token=c1364982-ba4a-450c-983d-a623b40ebb00)
Congratulations, this is the end of the step-by-step tutorial. This was a very basic tutorial to makes things work and I hope it goes well for you. You have more detailed informations in the [Definitions ](/products/easytextures/first-steps/definitions)page or in the [Examples ](/products/easytextures/examples)one. Be sure to check them out.
{% hint style="info" %}
Once you are finished to configure your object and ready to release, you are able to delete both `.config` and `.config HUD`.&#x20;
⚠️ ATTENTION: You must be aware that in some case, people might want to duplicate it using SHIFT + mouse. In this case, the EasyTexture will lost its configuration. (objectName and touchToApply option).&#x20;
You have two choices:&#x20;
* Keep the `.config` script in the object.
* Tell your customer to rez objects from their inventory and not using SHIFT + mouse.
If you can, I do recommend you to just keep the .config in the object. It doesn't contains any sensitive data and cost no usage of script.&#x20;
{% endhint %}
{% hint style="info" %}
If you still have issues with configuring your system, please be sure to contact Luke Rowley in-world, I will be more than pleased to help you with this.
{% endhint %}
# Additional function
In addition to the apply buttons, you are able to add more functional buttons:
* `finish` -> It will allow your customer to delete the script inside their objects.
* `sendobject` -> It will send the object named like the description of the prim.
* `slurl` -> Will open the map with the SLURL in the description of the prim.
* `url` -> Will send a pop up requesting the customer to open an URL.
* `rotate` -> Will rotate the HUD, please see the [rotate HUD page](/products/rotate-hud) for instructions.
* `group` -> Will send the group link to the local chat of your customer. Put the group UUID in the description
* `detach` -> Will detach the HUD.
![It will send the object \`Kynno Mainstore\` from the inventory of the object](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-MF6szeu7EqLw7sE3X9J%2F-MF7-VqJ9yaFZ3Uvexva%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=1b1acc61-d591-467f-85da-dc2b14f11542)
# Examples
On the left panel below Examples, you can navigate through some useful example to inspire you how you can make your own `.config HUD` script.&#x20;
# PBR Materials Support
EasyTextures is now compatible with PBR. See the examples included to get started.
To learn what is PBR on Second Life, please visit <https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/PBR_Materials>
To apply a material, you can use the UUID of the material
```
-blueSet
stool;pbr;3;e8d6f6cf-91c1-af76-f272-a50f107cb5f3
```
If  you need to tweak the data of the applied material, you can change the basecolor, normal or matellic. Basic changes, where you only change the materials of `face 6` of the prim `stool`.
If you want to change the metallic\_factor or the roughness\_factor, you could use
{% code overflow="wrap" %}
```
// Default values: [ PRIM_GLTF_METALLIC_ROUGHNESS, integer face, string texture, vector repeats, vector offsets, float rotation_in_radians, float metallic_factor, float roughness_factor ]

// Instruction to add to your .config HUD

// Change only the metallic_factor
stool;pbr_metallic;6;95f969e0-dfca-a2ee-74a1-15b8efd7e661,NULL,NULL,NULL,0.1

// Change only the roughness_factor
stool;pbr_metallic;6;95f969e0-dfca-a2ee-74a1-15b8efd7e661,NULL,NULL,NULL,NULL,0.5

// Or change both, by combining the values
stool;pbr_metallic;6;95f969e0-dfca-a2ee-74a1-15b8efd7e661,NULL,NULL,NULL,0.1,0.5

// 0.1 is the metallic_factor, 0.5 is the roughness_factor
```
{% endcode %}
The emissive of a material can be changed as well, to do so:
{% code overflow="wrap" %}
```
stool;pbr_emissive;6;95f969e0-dfca-a2ee-74a1-15b8efd7e661,NULL,NULL,NULL,0.8

// The emissive value will be set to 0.8
```
{% endcode %}
{% hint style="info" %}
Setting **`NULL`** as a value is telling the script to use the default value
{% endhint %}
# Changelog
## 4.1 – 15/05/2024
### Added
* Support for `PRIM_RENDER_MATERIAL`, see <https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSetPrimitiveParams#PRIM_RENDER_MATERIAL>. It's basically set the UUID of your material, instead of setting each textures.
* Apply one instruction to multiple prim links. Example: `root,link1,link2;texture;0...`
## 4.0 – 06/01/2024 – Introducing PBR Materials Support!
### Added
I'm excited to announce that EasyTextures is one of the first HUD textures to support PBR! You can edit `PRIM_GLTF_BASE_COLOR`, `PRIM_GLTF_NORMAL`, `PRIM_GLTF_METALLIC_ROUGHNESS`, `PRIM_GLTF_EMISSIVE`.
In the instructions, you can use `pbr_basecolor`, `pbr_normal`, `pbr_metallic`, `pbr_emissive`.
For the default values and what you can use, please visit <https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSetPrimitiveParams#PRIM_GLTF_BASE_COLOR>, you will be able to see all the options values you can set for each parameter.&#x20;
As usual, if you need any help setting up your `.config HUD`, you can contact Luke Rowley.
## 3.1.3 – 08/22/2022
### Added
* Support for `PRIM_BUMP_SHINY` see <https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSetPrimitiveParams#PRIM_BUMP_SHINY>
## 3.1.2 – 08/18/2022
### Added
* By default, the HUD is no longer rezzable by customers. If you want to change this behavior, you can add the instruction `allow_rez` to your `.config HUD` script.
### Fixes
* Fixed an issue where, when the .config HUD has plenty of instructions, it randomly stopped during the processing of your texture packs.
## 3.1.1 – 07/17/2021
### Added
* You can now use `ROOT` as prim name to target the prim root of your object.&#x20;
* You can add the instruction `ignore_not_existing_prim` in your `.config` to prevent the messages like ``ERROR: There is no prim named `something` in your object.`` to being displayed.
# Face information
Find information on the object and face you click.
Drop the script into any object and then, simply click on the face or object you need to know the informations. After that, you should see something similar to this in your local chat:
```
[08:57:14] Kynno - Face Informations: Informations on click

Prim name: Kynno - Face Informations
Link number: 0
Face touched: 3
Color of face: <1, 1, 1>
```
# Item Giver
Create a menu with the object available.
Simply drop the script into an object and when you touch it, it will automatically create a menu for you to choose between the different objects available in the object content.
{% hint style="warning" %}
The object needs to have the transfer permission
{% endhint %}
# Remote Posing
Animates any avatar.
{% hint style="warning" %}
The DEMO version of this product contains a default set of animations. The object is also no modify so you are not able to put your own animations.&#x20;
{% endhint %}
Simple Remote HUD that animates your avatar or another avatar. Just click on the black part of the HUD and choose an option:
* Target: Choose someone to animate. (You are the default target) Poses: Choose a pose Search: Search a term that a pose contains.
* Use the Play and Pause button on the HUD texture to play or pause the current animation.
* Use the Previous and Next button to quickly play your animation and navigate into them.
To organize your animation, don't hesitate to copy/paste the HUD and rename it, like this:
* Remote Posing HUD - Sits
* Remote Posing HUD - Ground Sits
* Remote Posing HUD - Poses
To add your animations:
* Rez the HUD on the ground.
* Add your animation into it.
You can now find all of your animations in the `Poses` option. Poses are sorted alphabetically.
The object is modify but the script is not, that's why you need to rez it to see the object modifiable.
# Rotate HUD
Rotate your HUD to any faces.
Drop the `Kynno - Rotate HUD` script in the HUD's content. Once it's done, you need to setup the different button that will rotate your HUD.
Each button, when you will click on it, will rotate your HUD to the rotation in the description of the clicked button.
The buttons needs to have a name. It can be `rotate` or `rotate_attach`. The two names will rotate your HUD as expected but, if you need to rotate the HUD to a *default state* when an avatar wear your HUD, name **ONE** button `rotate_attach` and the HUD will rotate on attach.
![Tip: Turn the HUD as you want, select your HUD then click on the C to copy its rotation](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-M1LGEOz0qx_6ZX4vDx7%2F-M1LGW190Jzl5qz3Cg8j%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=e23ab8a7-2aa0-4326-80ed-cc57a49261de)
![Simple example](https://492503182-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LgKK6lQ7_MWTA01UU_m%2F-M1LHwsTCl18IXkiRhfw%2F-M1LJC-z5R3I8gfe74SK%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=2f89c152-bd17-4eee-bd9b-cf9aec12b1e8)
{% hint style="info" %}
An HUD example is included in the box
{% endhint %}
# Simple Unpack
Let your customers using a HUD or a simple box to unpack your products.
The unpack script is very simple to use. Just drop into your box the script and it will send the folder of all the stuff of your box.
If you want to play an animation when the avatar wear your pack, include the script `Kynno - Unpack` otherwise, please use the `Kynno - Unpack (No animations)`.
You can create a HUD with this script. You need to understand that you will set the different options with the name of the prims in your HUD.
### Example:
If you want to send an object (Landmark, notecard or whatever) you will need to link a prim to your HUD that will be named "sendobject" and in description, the name of your object. If the customer click on this prim, it will send them the object.
There are additional options:
* Prim name: unpack
  * This will enable the HUD function, it won't send the folder on attach or rez but only by clicking on this prim named unpack
* Prim name: group
  * Put the UUID of your group (and not the full link) in the description of this prim and it will display the direct link to join the group
* Prim name: url
  * Put your link to open in the description of this prim (Such as facebook, flickr etc..)
* Prim name: detach
  * This button will detach the HUD from the screen of the user
* Prim name: sendobject
  * Will send the object that has the name set in the description
* Prim name: namefolder
  * In description, put your custom folder name
{% hint style="info" %}
Two examples are included in the box
{% endhint %}
